Small White King StarBoard® Sheet (12'' x 13.5'')
King StarBoard® is the original marine-grade high-density polyethylene sheet and the industry standard. It is the product of a proprietary process called K-Stran™, the most advanced manufacturing process for superior flatness and consistency. King StarBoard® is environmentally stabilized to withstand the harshest marine conditions. It will not warp, rot, or delaminate when exposed to humidity or water. King StarBoard® is easy to fabricate with standard woodworking tools and requires little or no finishing. King StarBoard® is an extremely tough, easy to work with plastic normally used in marine applications. It is practically maintenance free and is built to last. Many people replace wood that is exposed to harsh sun and weather conditions with this material.
Sheet sizes
The sheet size tolerance is determined on initial sheet size and cutter width. We will try and maintain maximum cutting tolerance of no more than -0.25” or - 6 mm on length and width. The sheets may come larger if they are supplied larger by the manufacturer.
Thickness tolerance
The industry standard tolerance is +- 10 % of the nominal thickness.
Surface finish
Decorative surfaces typically have a paper or plastic masking sheet to protect the surface . Some sheets will only have masking on the one decorative side.
Industrial sheets and forming sheets typically do not have masking and can have scuff marks and small surface scratches. All sheets are checked for surface finish and we will try and eliminate any sheets with excessive surface imperfections.
